Took a leisure trip to the Takehisa Yumeji Ikaho Museum (https://yumeji.or.jp/) which had a collection of antique music boxes. Attached are some iPhone recordings and pictures of the boxes demonstrated by museum staff.

The boxes themselves are from Western origin but some are supposedly playing Japanese-made music discs.
