Diaphragm (2019)

Built both as a way to upcycle old PC fans, and as an animated component for soft robot sculptures, this diaphragm simulation device serves as a platform for actuating DC devices according to the behavior of biological systems. This particular implementation was meant to simulate the breathing of a human, actuating a 12V DC fan every 3-5 seconds.

This initial prototype was programmed in C on an ATtiny85. Future implementations might utilize sensors, interactively responding to the conditions of a given environment.
